Movement: Yin Yoga

Access your hidden energy system that is the source of all manifestation with Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga allows you to access and release the connective tissues, or fascia, of the body. It is believed that the connective tissues house the body's chi, or energy flow, and that energy is influenced by the opening of the body. In Yin Yoga, you are encouraged to come right to the edge of a simple pose neither backing away nor going too far. Then, hold the post for an extended period of time to allow the energy to flow more freely in the body and ultimately to access deep wisdom and unity.

Butterfly:

Come to a seated position and then bring the soles of your feet together.

Fold forward allowing the back to round and the head to hang down.

Come to the edge of the pose and hold for 5 minutes. As your body opens, you can go deeper into the pose. Just be careful not to go too far.

Come out slowly.

"To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest. To live fully is to be always in no-man's-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh. To live is to be willing to die over and over again." -Pema Chodron
