Rooibos Tea

Tasting notes: nourishing, tobacco leaf, honey

Rooibos [ROY-boss] (Aspalathus linearis) is a caffeine-free, evergreen shrub grown in the mineral-rich soils of South Africa’s Cederburg Mountains. It is so rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants that the indigenous Khoisan people used it traditionally to “preserve youth and gladden the heart”.

Smooth, sweet and refreshing, rooibos is as delicious iced as it is hot. It can be served with milk and honey or a squeeze of lemon. Try steeping it with fresh garden herbs or berries.

Ingredients: Organic short cut Rooibos

Steeping Directions: Steep 1 teaspoon (2 g) of rooibos in I cup (8 oz) of boiling water for 5- 10 minutes (longer steeping times extract more nutrients)
