Kagoshima Kukicha Tea

Originating from organic tea fields on southern Japan’s Kyushu Island, our Kukicha, “twig tea,” was nourished by volcanic soils, ample rainfall and a sub-tropical climate. Kukicha is made from the stems and shoots of the tea plant, rather than the leaf, as they present hearty, creamy flavors that remind us of soft nuts and stone fruit.

STEEPING DIRECTIONS

Steep 2 teaspoons (4g) of Kagoshima Kukicha in 1 cup (8oz) of 180° F water for 1 minute and strain. Makes 3 infusions.
