Kagoshima Kukicha Tea

Originating from organic tea fields on southern Japan's Kyushu Island, our Kukicha, "twig tea," was nourished by volcanic soils, ample rainfall and a sub-tropical climate. Kukicha is made from the stems and shoots of the tea plant, rather than the leaf. This type of tea has been long revered for alkalizing the body and being part of whole food and macrobiotic diets.

Japanese green tea

STEEPING DIRECTIONS
Steep 2 teaspoons (4g) of Kagoshima Kukicha in 1 cup (8oz) of 180° F water for 1 minute and strain. Makes 3 infusions.
