Bergamot is a highly aromatic citrus, the finest emerging from the southern Italian region of Calabria. The oil taken from the rind of this sweet-smelling fruit has been used in Italian folk medicine for generations, and has infused Earl Grey teas since the 1830’s when British Prime Minister Earl Grey received this exotic gift from a Chinese tea merchant. Ours brings together the natural essences of sun-ripened Italian bergamot with the intensity of Ceylon black tea leaves.

Organic Ceylon black tea leaves and organic and natural essences of sunripened Italian Bergamot citrus from Calabria

STEEPING DIRECTIONS
Steep 2 teaspoons (4g) of Italian Grey in 1 cup (8oz) of 205° F water for 4 minutes and strain. Makes 1-2 infusions. For 205° F water, boil then let cool 1 minute.
