Kukicha Cold Brew Recipe

Kukicha Cold Brew

One of our staff favorites and a current tea bar special, our cold brew Kukicha is the ideal warm weather pick me up. Kukicha, made from the stems, or twigs, of the tea plant, is naturally low in caffeine and alkalining to your body. It has an addictive sweet umami taste and is cooling to your system, whether you drink it hot or cold!

Kukicha Cold Brew

Kukicha Cold Brew: Start by combining Kukicha and room-temperature or cold filtered water in a large pitcher. Steep overnight or for 6-8 hours in the refrigerator. Once the time is up, remove from the refrigerator and strain the loose-leaf tea out of the pitcher by pouring the tea through a fine mesh sieve or strainer. Finally, serve over ice and enjoy the balancing and hydrating cold brewed tea! Tea keeps well covered and refrigerated for 3-5 days.
